Harris Decima are one of the worlds leading research companies. Under the leadership of YLC Advisory Board member, Tara McCarthy, Harris Decima very kindly agreed to conduct a survey of Canadians to measure their understanding and their attitude towards the serious problem of youth suicide.
This important contribution via Harris Decima was referred to widely in considerations that led to the enactment of Bill c300 – ‘an Act respecting the establishment of a national framework for suicide prevention’ (in Canada). These considerations ranged from Parliamentary Hearings to media coverages to debate in Parliament.
